After a compilation of predictions for Super Bowl XLVII by the NHL, there is an overwhelming consensus from current and former players of who will return home as champions.

Fourteen of 18 total players polled chose the 49ers to defeat the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's Super Bowl, according to a news release from the NHL.

The only players who chose the Ravens to hoist Vince Lombardi's trophy were Shane Doan of the Phoenix Coyotes, Mike Richards of the Los Angeles Kings, Tyler Seguin on the Boston Bruins and Wayne Gretzky, the greatest player in his sport's history.

The players polled have the 49ers winning by an average of 7.3 points, while oddsmakers have the 49ers as a four-point favorite.
