San Francisco 49ers defensive end Justin Smith has to be thinking Cary Williams is a lucky man.
Williams, the Baltimore Ravens cornerback who pushed an official during a dust-up in Super Bowl XLVII last Sunday, won't be fined for his actions according to a Pro Football Talk report.
To compare, Smith shoved an official out of his way in a Thursday Night Football game against San Diego in 2010 and was subsequently ejected.
NFL rules say it doesn't matter if the player didn't know it was official they were pushing, which Williams' claims was the case; any player that shoves an official is subject to an ejection. Smith wasn't fined for his incident either.
