If you think the Bay Area has 49ers Fever, wait until this weekend, when the very fabric of the city of San Francisco takes on a decidedly Red and Gold feel.

Golden Gate Bridge toll takers will don their 49ers hats and t-shirts Friday and Saturday in a show of good faith for the city's team.

But they won't be the only ones dressing up, as San Francisco's historic buildings such as the Ferry Building Clock Tower, Coit Tower and City Hall will bask in Red and Gold lights.

While the lighting of the landmarks is a relatively new tradition in the city, an age-old tradition will also be recognized Saturday. The 49ers and Packers will each attempt to push the ball into Candlestick Park end zones painted red.
