SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 26, 2016) – CSN California (@CSNAuthentic), the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” announced today its coverage of the San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) for the 2016-17 season, which includes 71 regular season games; extensive game day coverage with Sharks Pregame Live and Sharks Postgame Live; season-long, comprehensive Sharks and NHL news, analysis, and insider reports on SportsNet Central and SportsTalk Live; and in-depth online coverage on CSNCalifornia.com.

CSN California will begin its coverage of Sharks hockey on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m., when the Sharks play their road opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets.  Calling all the action for Sharks games on CSN California will be eight-time regional Emmy Award winner and play-by-play announcer Randy Hahn (@sharkvoice), and 10-year NHL veteran and color analyst Jamie Baker (@Bakes_Jamie13).

Returning for all Sharks home games this season is a permanent “Inside The Glass” position on the Sharks bench, where Baker will provide viewers with an up-close-and-personal vantage point for Sharks broadcasts on CSN California, bringing fans closer than ever to Sharks hockey action.

Extensive Sharks coverage on CSN California includes two Stanley Cup Final rematches versus Conn Smythe Trophy winner Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins (10/20 at Pittsburgh, 11/5 vs. Pittsburgh), three Western Conference Final rematches against the St. Louis Blues (11/17 at St. Louis, 1/14 & 3/16 vs. St. Louis.), two games versus six-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin and the Presidents’ Trophy winning Washington Capitals (11/8 at Washington, 3/9 vs. Washington), and two matchups against Hart Trophy winner and three-time Stanley Cup champion Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks (12/18 at Chicago, 1/31 vs. Chicago).
