49ers begin weeklong stay in New Orleans

The 49ers are scheduled to depart the team's Santa Clara practice facility at noon on Sunday to spend more than a week in New Orleans, site of Super Bowl XLVII.

The 49ers will arrive approximately 21 hours in New Orleans before the AFC representative Baltimore Ravens, who are scheduled to arrive Monday at 4 p.m. (Central time).

The 49ers are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. arrival Sunday at New Orleans International Airport. Coach Jim Harbaugh, quarterback Colin Kaepernick and some other players will answer questions from the media, beginning at 8:30 p.m., at the New Orleans Marriott, the team's hotel.

The 49ers will have another media session with Harbaugh and selected players, including Frank Gore, NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith, on Monday at 3:30 p.m. The 49ers' media day at the Superdome is scheduled for Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. All players and coaches are required to attend and participate.

The Ravens are scheduled to arrive in New Orleans on Monday 4 p.m. Coach John Harbaugh, quarterback Joe Flacco and selected players will be available at their hotel, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, about 90 minutes later.
