SAN FRANCISCO -- Michael Crabtree caught a 49-yard touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick with 7:20 left in the first half to become the first 49ers player since Terrell Owens to eclipse 1,000 yards receiving in a season.

Crabtree entered the game 67 yards shy of the 1,000-yard mark. After being shut out in the first quarter, Crabtree caught a 17-yard pass on the 49ers' first possession of the second quarter.

On the next drive, the 49ers' took over at their own 20, trailing the Arizona Cardinals 6-0. Kaepernick hit Crabtree with a 31-yard pass to open the drive. On the next play, Crabtree shook free as the Cardinals blew an assignment. Kaepernick threw a pass to Crabtree that he caught and turned into a 49-yard touchdown. The play gave the 49ers a 7-6 lead. In the first half, Crabtree had four receptions for 116 yards.

Owens was the last 49ers receiver to have 1,000 yards. He had 1,102 receiving in 2003, his final year with the club. The next offseason, he was sent to the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade.
