Programming note: 49ers Press Conference Live from New Orleans begins today at 1:30 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area

NEW ORLEANS -- The 49ers had four days of practices back in the Bay Area before arriving at the site of Super Bowl XLVII.

And while in New Orleans, the 49ers will get a full week of preparation time before playing the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick said the additional study time should ease the pressure he might feel from playing the most-watched and scrutinized football game of the season.

"Pressure, I feel like, comes from lack of preparation," Kaepernick said upon his arrival at the team hotel in downtown New Orleans. "This isn't going to be a pressure situation. It is going to be a matter of going out there and performing physically."

Kaepernick, who is not overly talkative in front of large groups of media, had the largest contingent of reporters surrounding him when he and five of his teammates held simultaneous press conferences at the Marriott Hotel.

He said he will not waver from the approach he took leading up to his first nine NFL starts.

"It is just head-down, keep working," Kaepernick said. "This isn't a time to relax and get out of your routine or stop working hard. This is when you should be working your hardest."
