SAN DIEGO -- Rolando McClain is inactive for the third straight game after the middle linebacker's two-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. And if that is not a sign that he is not in the Raiders' future plans...

Also, Raiders starting quarterback Carson Palmer (ribs/lung), strong safety Tyvon Branch (ankle) and right guard Mike Brisiel (ankle) are all inactive for the season finale against the Chargers.

The rest of the Raiders inactives, then: running back Jeremy Stewart, recently-promoted defensive lineman Brandon Bair and receiver Juron Criner.

Active for the first time this season is offensive lineman Lucas Nix.

With Branch out, Mike Mitchell should start at strong safety and with Brisiel out, rookie Tony Bergstrom should start at right guard.

The Chargers' inactives: linebackers Donald Butler and Gary Guyton, tight end Ladarius Green, running back Edwin Baker, cornerback Greg Gatson, offensive lineman Stephen Schilling and receiver Mike Willie.
