ALAMEDA -- With the Raiders placing Richard Seymour on season-ending Injured Reserve Thursday, the defensive tackle will no longer appear on a Raiders injury report.

So why not also place quarterback Carson Palmer on IR, since he's already been ruled out of Sunday's season finale at San Diego? Oakland will, if it needs an additional active roster spot against the Chargers.

"He's doing good…moving around slow, but he'll heal," said backup quarterback Matt Leinart. "He's one of the toughest guys I've ever been around. When he was laying on the ground I knew something was wrong because he's normally up, not matter what. He's the type of guy who will never tell you if something's wrong, and obviously, he took a big shot, but he'll be fine."

Running back Mike Goodson did, however, show up on the report after missing practice due to illness. And right guard Mike Brisiel has passed his concussion tests, though an ankle injury had him out for the second straight day with rookie Tony Bergstrom taking his reps.

The rest of it stayed the same. Following, then, is the Raiders' injury report for Thursday:

Did not participate -- CB Phillip Adams (groin), SS Tyvon Branch (neck/ankle), RG Mike Brisiel (ankle), RB Mike Goodson (sick), QB Carson Palmer (ribs).

Limited participation in practice -- RT Khalif Barnes (triceps).

Full participation in practice -- Jack Crawford (toe), WR Juron Criner (hip), TE Brandon Myers (shoulder).
