ALAMEDA -- Rolando McClain's two-game team suspension ends Monday morning.

But that does not mean the middle linebacker will be back on the practice field that day. Not when coach Dennis Allen has yet to speak to McClain and does not plan on doing so before then.

Plus, Allen is returning to Texas Friday night for his father Grady's funeral and is not expected to return to the team until practice on Wednesday.

"I'll address Rolando's situation next week," Allen said.

If and when McClain returns, the Raiders would have to clear a roster space for him. And with Allen potentially not returning until Wednesday, there may not be a settlement to this until then.

McClain, who has disappointed the Raiders with both his play on the field and his actions off it, reportedly had a "heated" discussion with Allen that ended with the player sent off the practice field. McClain then logged into his Facebook page and posted the following: "Officially no longer an Oakland Raider!!" he wrote, before adding, "Well technically I am. But I'm mentally done. Just waiting on my papers."

Later: "It's out of my hands right now." Then, "I'm gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual 'team.'" His final post: "I'd like to be anywhere besides here."

Last week, general manager Reggie McKenzie essentially said the next move was up to McClain, who was the No. 8 overall pick of the 2010 draft.

"What’s his approach afterward?" McKenzie said, referring to after the suspension. "I know what he texted, Facebooked or all that stuff…what he said, that he’s gone. I think I am the one that is going to make that call, not him.

"It’s going to be on him. I don’t feel the need to approach him. So far, he is not apologetic."
