The Kings had a 6.3 percent chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick in next month's draft. The lottery left them with a pick outside the top five.
Chris Hansen: "If there is any silver lining in this for Seattle it is seeing Sacramento's dedicated fan base successfully rally to keep the Kings."
Today's announcement ends months of maneuvering by Mayor Kevin Johnson to secure a new ownership group to keep the Kings in Sacramento.
