Jabari Parker, one of the elite high school basketball players in the country, has made his decision on where he'll go to college. And the immensly talented small forward has chosen Duke University over Stanford, Michigan State, Florida and Brigham Young.

“In the fall of 2013, I will be attending Duke University,” Parker announced Thursday afternoon in a nationally televised press conference.

Parker, a polished 6-foot-8 senior from Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, was expected to choose Duke over Michigan State. Stanford, Florida and BYU were considered longshots for Parker's services.

“It was kind of a tough decision,” Parker, the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year, told ESPNU anchor Dari Nowkhah. “All of the schools that I was interested in, you can’t go wrong with any of those programs.”

So, why the Blue Devils?

"I just chose Duke because it was the right decision for me," said Parker, noting that Mike Krzyzewski helped him with development throughout high school.
