Injury report: Raiders consider Hudson doubtful vs Titans

Share

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -– Raiders center Rodney Hudson is officially doubtful to play on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans with a sprained right ankle.

He received that designation two weeks ago after missing a week’s practice, and was ruled inactive against the Minnesota Vikings.

Hudson should follow a similar pattern this weekend. Hudson will travel with the team, make a case to play and leave the ultimate decision to the coaching staff.

It didn’t work out for Hudson last time, so it’s hard to imagine something different happening now. While the Raiders hold out hope and something could change last minute, Hudson is not expected to play against the Titans.

If he can’t go, backup center Tony Bergstrom will make his second start in three games. Hudson originally got hurt Nov. 8 against Pittsburgh. He missed the following game against Minnesota, but recovered enough to practice and play against the Detroit Lions.

Hudson aggravated the injury in that game, putting him back on the shelf.

While the Raiders would not rule their athletic center out of Sunday’s game, linebacker Neiron Ball (knee) will miss his fifth-straight contest. Cornerback Keith McGill is also out of this one after suffering an ankle injury against the Lions.

The Raiders are more optimistic about running Taiwan Jones (knee), who practiced during Friday’s walk-through practice and is considered questionable for Sunday’s game.
