It took just one period on Saturday for Patrick Marleau's torrid start to the season to continue on Saturday.

Marleau scored two power play goals in the first period against the Avalanche, making history as the first player in 95 years to score multiple goals in the first four games of the season.

He has eight goals and three assists so far this year, propelling the Sharks to a 4-0 start to the season while tallying a total of 19 goals.
