The Los Angeles Kings have been one of the teams in the Western Conference, like the Sharks and Blackhawks, making deadline moves.

While they've added Rob Scuderi and Vincent Lecavalier via trades this year, they're reportedly still looking for a contributing winger.

The Kings are interested in Hurricanes forward Kris Versteeg, according to ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.

Versteeg, a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Chicago Blackhawks, has 33 points this season (11g, 22a).

The Hurricanes have also proven to be sellers at the deadline, trading longtime captain Eric Staal to the New York Rangers on Saturday, after the forward spent all 12 years of his career in Carolina.

Versteeg, 29, finished with 44 points when the Hawks won the Cup in 2010, and 34 when they won it again in 2015.

The Kings also have a need at the wing position with Marian Gaborik being placed on injured reserve on February 13 with a knee injury.

The NHL trade deadline is Monday, February 29 at 1:00 p.m. PT.
