San Franciscos Cow Palace will be undergoing some 2 million in renovations funded by the San Francisco Bulls hockey team of the ECHL in preparation for their inaugural season which kicks off October 12, 2012.
According to Bulls president and head coach Pat Curcios blog, the centerpiece of these new renovations will be a state-of-the-art scoreboard known as The Cube, which is viewable from 360-degrees, along with a brand new sound system. In addition to the new scoreboard, the concession stands are also being refurbished.
The Cow Palace has not been home to ice hockey since 1995 when the San Francisco Spiders played their first and only season there. Before that, the San Jose Sharks, who are now the Bulls NHL affiliate, occupied the Cow Palace from 1991-1993 while the team waited for their new arena to be built in San Jose.

The San Francisco Warriors basketball team also found a temporary home at the Cow Palace after their relocation from Philadelphia in 1962 until relocating to Oakland for the 1971-72 season.
