Stephen Curry won't be on the court for the Warriors home showdown with the Mavericks tonight, according to a San Francisco Chronicle report.
Curry, 24, rolled his fragile right ankle in the third quarter of the Warriors' win over the Raptors Monday and didn't return. It's the second time Curry has aggravated the injury in the past two weeks. He was immediately listed as day-to-day with a mild ankle sprain, but as a gametime decision, he was ruled out for the team's game on Tuesday, and will now miss his second game in a row.
Considering Curry has had two surgeries on the ankle in question, and his value to the team, it's likely the team is being very precautionary. Curry was operated on in May of 2011 and then again last April. The first surgery was to repair ligaments while the second surgery was arthroscopic, to clean out loose debris and scar tissue.
Curry is averaging 21 points and 6.4 assists per game this season, the best numbers of his now four-year career.
