Warriors small forward Brandon Rush will have surgery Wednesday in New York to repair the anterior cruciate knee ligament torn in early November, his agent said on Saturday.

Rush tore both his ACL and his medial cruciate ligament (MCL) on Nov. 2 in the Warriors' second game of the season, when he landed awkwardly after a drive to the basket against the Memphis Grizzlies.

His medical advisers elected to allow the MCL to heal and have Rush recover his range of motion with the knee before repairing the ACL. Rush, whose contract ends this summer, is not expected to play again this season but plans to be ready for the 2013-14 campaign's training camp.
